Complete Boundary Fencing Replacement
Zenith was appointed to remove the existing fencing and install a complete new boundary system.
Local Housing Association
Replacement of Damaged Boundary Fencing
1.8m
Approximately 20m of fencing
Client Requirements
Approximately 20 metres of boundary fencing at a housing association property had become damaged and consisted of mismatched sections that no longer provided the consistent, secure boundary required.
Unlike a localised repair, the condition of the existing fencing meant a more comprehensive replacement was appropriate.
Zenith was appointed to remove the existing fencing and install a complete new boundary system, with durability and ease of future maintenance forming important considerations when selecting the replacement.
Overview of Work
The project began with the removal of the existing damaged and mismatched fencing. Materials were cleared from the site and disposed of appropriately, allowing the boundary to be prepared for the new installation.
A new 1.8m-high fencing system was then installed along the approximately 20-metre boundary. The new system comprised overlap timber fence panels, precast concrete posts and concrete gravel boards, combining the appearance and practicality of timber fencing with durable supporting components.
Concrete gravel boards separate the timber panels from ground level, while the precast concrete posts provide a strong supporting structure. Together, the components provide a practical fencing system suited to a residential environment.
Care was taken throughout the installation to create a straight, consistent boundary and a significantly more uniform appearance than the mixture of fencing previously in place.
Outcome
Once completed, the new fencing transformed the affected boundary and provided the housing association with a robust, secure and relatively low-maintenance solution.
The consistent 1.8m-high fencing also improved privacy for the property while creating a much neater appearance to the outdoor space.
By completely replacing the deteriorated and mismatched sections, Zenith provided a longer-term solution designed to meet the everyday demands of a housing association property and reduce the need for continued repairs to the previous fencing.
