Complete Refurbishment for Zenith’s Ground Floor Offices

Client Requirements

Zenith’s Specialist Cleaning Division required a refurbishment of their ground floor office accommodation. The existing configuration comprised two offices on the ground floor, one used as a meeting room and the other for the Operations office. With the team expanding, the Operations office had become too small and required alteration.

Overview of Works

The plan involved extending the rarely used meeting room and knocking through into the Operations office to create one big open plan space that would meet the needs of the business and team. This saw Zenith’s Refurbishment and Flooring teams combining resources and working together to deliver a complete solution.

Initially, the office was stripped out and the staff temporarily relocated. Removing the dividing wall required the installation of a steel joist, and the extension required a new partition wall. The Refurbishment team also installed a new suspended ceiling, complete with LED lighting, air conditioning and fire detection systems. Electric sockets and new data points were added, taking into consideration the planned new office layout.

The existing glazed partitioning, which was in good condition, was re-used, with integral blinds updated to match the colour scheme of the office. Zenith’s corporate ‘orange’ was added as an accent throughout, offset against white, and with the addition of new desks, chairs and cabinets, the new offices now provide a clean, modern, fresh place to work.

As an Operations office, a floor was required that was aesthetically pleasing on the eye and easy to clean. Consequently, the Flooring team’s resin specialists asked Vebro Polymers to create a custom blend flake that could be applied into wet resin, resulting in an attractive decorative flake system that featured Zenith’s corporate colours of black, white and orange.
