Client Requirements
The Pear Tree, a well-established local pub in Leicestershire, required a kitchen refurbishment to improve hygiene and durability. After the installation of hygienic wall cladding, Zenith Contract Services was tasked with completing the flooring, ensuring it met high standards for food preparation environments.
Overview of Works
Zenith Contract Services carried out a full kitchen floor refurbishment, ensuring a seamless, easy-to-clean surface. The process included:
- Surface Preparation: The existing floor was thoroughly prepared using handheld diamond grinding equipment, creating a sound mechanical key for optimal adhesion. All grinding was carried out under vacuum control tominimise contamination in the surrounding area.
- Priming & Installation: The floor was primed using KDR Epo Prime,followed by the application of KDR Polyfloor at a6mm thickness.
- Coving Installation: To enhance hygiene and ease of maintenance, a100mm high radius coved skirting was installedusing KDR Polycove, creating a smooth transition between the floor and walls.
