Client Requirements

A long-standing client in the food manufacturing sector approached Zenith to refurbish key staff areas, including offices, canteen spaces, corridors, and toilets. While typically opting for resin flooring, this project called for a high-performance vinyl solution – offering both durability and a softer aesthetic better suited to office and welfare areas.

Overview of Works

Zenith supplied and installed Polyflor and Ambience vinyl flooring, carefully selected for its resilience, visual appeal, and ease of maintenance in a food industry environment. Following the removal of the existing vinyl, the subfloor was prepared using vacuum-controlled diamond grinding, ensuring a clean, dust-free surface for optimal adhesion.

A unique challenge arose when the client requested a seamless finish in the corridors, specifically without any joins across a 25-metre span. Zenith rose to the occasion, sourcing a specialist roll length in the client’s chosen colour – a solution that preserved the aesthetic integrity of the space.

All works were strategically completed over four consecutive weekends, allowing the client’s operations to continue uninterrupted during the working week.
