Phased Flooring Installation for New Production Area

Client Requirements

Zenith Contract Services was commissioned by a leading Midlands-based manufacturer specialising in stampings and pressings for the automotive industry. The client required a durable, low-maintenance floor solution for a newly developed production area. Due to the nature of their operations, minimising disruption to daily output was a key priority.

Overview of Works

To accommodate the client’s busy schedule, the project was carefully phased. This allowed operations to continue uninterrupted while essential flooring upgrades were carried out. Each phase involved full preparation and coating of designated sections, enabling seamless handovers and continuity of business activity.

Zenith began by preparing the existing substrate using diamond grinding equipment. This critical step removed all old floor coatings and contaminants, while also creating a textured surface to ensure maximum adhesion for the new coating system.

We then applied KDR Epocoat High Build Slip-Resistant Epoxy Coating — a robust, industrial-grade product ideal for environments exposed to mechanical loads, oil, and chemical spills. The chosen system not only delivers long-lasting durability but also improves safety through its slip-resistant finish, critical in high-traffic production environments.
