Replacement of Garden Fencing
Client Requirements
Severe weather can quickly turn an otherwise serviceable garden fence into an urgent maintenance requirement.
Following storm damage at a housing association property in Coventry, significant sections of an existing garden boundary fence had deteriorated and collapsed. Fallen timber was left within the garden and the loss of the boundary had left the property exposed.
As well as affecting privacy and security for the resident, the collapsed fencing had created an untidy area that needed to be cleared and made safe.
Zenith was instructed to remove the storm-damaged materials and reinstate the affected boundary with a new timber fencing system.
Overview of Work
Before the replacement could begin, the damaged fencing and fallen timber were carefully removed from the garden.
Clearing the affected area provided a safe working space for the installation team while ensuring that damaged materials were not left around the occupied property.
With the previous fencing removed, Zenith installed a new timber featheredge fence along the affected garden boundary.
The replacement fencing was securely fixed and carefully aligned to create a strong and consistent boundary. Particular attention was given to leaving the surrounding garden clear and tidy once the installation had been completed.
As the work took place at an occupied housing association property, the project was managed with consideration for the resident and the need to restore normal use of the garden as efficiently as possible.
The Result
The completed installation reinstated a clear and secure garden boundary following the severe weather damage.
The new featheredge fencing restored privacy for the resident while replacing the collapsed sections with a robust and practical timber solution.
Importantly, the project wasn’t simply about installing a new fence. Removing the damaged materials and leaving the garden clear, safe and fit for use formed an equally important part of the work.
For the housing association, the completed project provided an effective response to an unexpected weather-related repair and returned the property’s external area to a safe and presentable condition.
